This training has been POSTPONED until further notice. Location | Patton Township Building - 100 Patton Plaza, State College, PA 16803 Description: This workshop provides attendees with a better understanding of the chlorine disinfection process and how it works along with operations and maintenance (O&M) best practices. Topics include chlorine disinfection basics, chlorine safety, setting up a chlorine disinfection system, chlorine residual monitoring, disinfecting water mains, chlorine disinfection and the Safe Drinking Water Act, and disinfection math. Trainer: Matt Ziegler, Program Director, Southwest Environmental Finance Center at the University of New Mexico Cost: Free Continuing Education Units: Pending Approval. Who Should Attend:
  • Managers, owners, and operators of water systems serving less than 10,000 people
  • Decision-makers for water utilities, including mayors, finance officers, utility managers, public works directors, city councilors, board members, tribal council members, and clerks
  • Consultants and technical assistance providers serving water systems
