This educational resource acts as a central hub for information on both PFAS exposure and PFAS contamination in drinking water. There are around 5,000 chemicals categorized as PFAS. Though they have been produced since the 1940s, it wasn’t until they were discovered in drinking water in 2001 that their health and environmental risks became widely recognized.
