For small systems, Asset Management may seem like a daunting task to add to the day-to-day operations of your utility. However, Asset Management can actually make your job easier. Asset Management applies common sense practices to provide water services and is meant to help you more efficiently run your system. This webinar, the first in a series, describes the basics of Asset Management and what you need to do to benefit your water system as well as meet the new state regulations. We will present practical approaches to Asset Management activities and discuss key starting points.
This webinar was developed in collaboration with CT DPH Drinking Water Section in light of new state laws requiring Asset and Fiscal Management Planning for Small Community Water Systems.
Presenters: Heather Himmelberger, Director, Southwest Environmental Finance Center at the University of New Mexico
