Location: Online Event

Description: Join experts from the Southwest Environmental Finance Center for a no-cost webinar series on Water Loss. This series will show small water systems why and how to complete a water audit, and will provide guidance on using the audit results to further water loss control within their utilities. Those interested must register for each session individually and are welcome to attend any number of the sessions.

The last session of this series will focus on billing system data typically used to complete a water audit. Accurate billing data is critical to developing an accurate picture of a utility’s loss volumes and associated values. It is, therefore, important that billing staff supporting utility water auditing have a clear picture of the data they may have to provide. This session will provide an overview of the water auditing process, audit data that billing staff are typically called upon to provide, and common errors and misconceptions that lead to inaccurate audit results.

Cost: Complimentary.

Who Should Attend:

  • Managers, owners, and operators of water systems serving less than 10,000 people
  • Decision-makers for water utilities, including mayors, finance officers, utility managers, public works directors, city councilors, board members, tribal council members, and clerks
