In this webinar, you will hear from leading industry experts on how water and wastewater systems are addressing the impacts of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). Traditional drinking water treatment for removal of PFAS has revolved around three technologies: granular activated carbon, ion exchange resin, and membrane filtration. This presentation will cover the advantages and disadvantages of these three treatment methods, as well as dive into some newer technologies including newly-developed destructive techniques.

Presenter: Kyle Hay, Weston and Sampson – Kyle Hay is a Project Engineer in Weston & Sampson’s Water Group, where his work focuses on drinking water treatment plant design and water quality studies.  Kyle has worked on multiple PFAS-related projects in New England, including work at the former Pease Air Force Base and the former Devens Army Base.  Kyle has a Master’s Degree in civil engineering and a Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering.
