Description: This class covers concepts and mathematics needed to conduct activated sludge wastewater treatment process control. By the end of this training, attendees will be able to do the following:
- Define and calculate BOD in influent wastewater flows
- Calculate FM ratios and MCRTs for activated sludge plants
- Identify basic microbes associated with activated sludge conditions
- Explain process control laboratory procedures for wastewater treatment
- Analyze treatment problems in wastewater treatment plants
Please Note: This is a two-part training over the course of two days. In order to qualify for a certificate, you must attend both days:
- Tuesday, December 2, 2025 | 1:00 PM – 3:30 PM EST
- Wednesday, December 3, 2025 | 1:00 PM – 3:30 PM EST

Certificates: We will provide a certificate of attendance to all eligible attendees, but cannot guarantee it will meet your PDH or CEU requirements.

- Managers, owners, and operators of wastewater systems with an average daily flow of less than 1 million gallons
- Decision-makers for wastewater utilities, including mayors, finance officers, utility managers, public works directors, city councilors, board members, tribal council members, and clerks
- Consultants and technical assistance providers serving wastewater systems
