Who Should Attend: 
Technical staff including managers, owners, and operators of small water systems serving less than 10,000 people, including local government systems and tribal systems, as well as all other types of water systems, such as: homeowners associations, mobile home parks, resorts/campgrounds, schools, prisons, and more.

Successful employees need strong communication skills to influence attitudes and get things done. Regardless of your position, leadership occurs at every level of a water system.

In this workshop, you will learn how to:

  • Communicate with the public, your board, and elected officials
  • Build support for decisions involving rates, budgets, and capital improvements
  • Be a compelling communicator to raise awareness, and change attitudes and behaviors
  • Reduce conflict, and improve staff collaboration and participation in decision-making

CEUs: 0.5 DWP CEUs are available to water operators attending this workshop.
