This Peer-to-Peer session is designed to unite communities within EPA Region 4 for a facilitated conversation, but participation is open to all, regardless of location.

Please Note: This session requires a working microphone and a willingness to engage in conversation and share questions and concerns.

Description: Join the PFAS conversation! Per- and Poly-fluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are a group of chemicals considered an emerging contaminant of concern in surface water, groundwater, soil, and air. In order to assist communities in their efforts to prepare for addressing possible regulations, the Environmental Finance Center at the University of Maryland invites you to join us for an interactive peer-to-peer session on Tuesday, January 23rd, 2024.

The EFC at University of Maryland will act as a facilitator for conversations between individuals and communities to brainstorm what actions are currently being taken to prepare for coming PFAS regulations and what strategies have been used in the past for new regulations. Please join us for this Peer-to-Peer session, come prepared to ask questions of other professionals, and share your experience and thoughts on PFAS.

Certificate: This peer exchange session has NOT been submitted for approval of continuing education credit. We can provide a certificate of attendance to eligible attendees, but cannot guarantee it will meet your PDH or CEU requirements.
