Description: This class provides a comprehensive overview of factors which influence water quality within distribution systems and highlights key practices that operators use to protect public health and maintain water quality.

_Learning Objectives:

  • Discuss pathogens and water quality factors that can impact human health
  • Apply disinfection and flushing principles to solve water quality problems
  • Analyze corrosion control applications used in distribution systems
  • Explain water quality sampling requirements
  • Identify cross connections and sanitary deficiencies

Please Note: This is a two-part training over the course of two days. In order to qualify for a certificate, you must attend both days:

  • Monday, October 6, 2025 | 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM PDT
  • Tuesday, October 7, 2025 | 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM PDT

CEUs: This training is approved for 4.5 contact hours for Drinking Water by the Nevada DEP.
