Description: Don’t slip up with these emerging contaminants! Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are an emerging contaminant with a variety of impacts on wastewater systems. PFAS have been used for years due to their slippery properties, but recent evidence has shed a light on their harmful effects on humans and the environment. The EPA is currently working on regulations for PFAS in water and wastewater and this training is designed to help communities understand what this means for them.
