Description: This class covers methods to conduct inspection and condition assessment of the collection system and to develop targeted approaches to prioritize and plan future rehabilitation and replacement activities. By the end of this training, attendees will be able to do the following:
- Differentiate between condition assessment methods for collection mains
- Analyze risk to establish repair, rehab, and replacement priorities
- Evaluate the results of inspections and condition assessments
- Apply maintenance strategies based on asset characteristics
- Create a Capital Improvement Plan
Please Note: This is a two-part training over the course of two days. In order to qualify for a certificate or CECs, you must attend both days:
- Monday, December 15, 2025 | 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM MST
- Tuesday, December 16, 2025 | 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM MST

CECs: This training has been approved for 4.5 hours of Wastewater continuing education credit (0.45 CECs) by the Montana Department of Environmental Quality.

- Managers, owners, and operators of wastewater systems with an average daily flow of less than 1 million gallons
- Decision-makers for wastewater utilities, including mayors, finance officers, utility managers, public works directors, city councilors, board members, tribal council members, and clerks
- Consultants and technical assistance providers serving wastewater systems
