Cost: This workshop is complimentary. Lunch will be provided by Michigan Technological University’s Civil & Environmental Engineering Department. The EPA Water Forum, following the workshop, has a fee of $45.

CECs: This course is approved for 0.5 Technical CECs by the Michigan Drinking Water Advisory Board of Examiners.

About this Workshop:
This workshop will introduce participants to asset management, provide the techniques and tools for developing asset inventories and building maps, and give strategies for using asset data to make better decisions.

Attendees can also choose to register and attend the EPA Region 5 Water Forum the following day, which will occur on February 20, 2019. The forum will bring participants together to discuss ways to manage environmental system improvements. It will benefit municipal and township officials, board members, utility and public works directors, municipal clerks, and water/wastewater operators. This event is hosted by the Great Lakes Environmental Infrastructure Center, the EPA Region 5 environmental finance center.

Who Should Attend: 
• Managers, owners, and operators of small water systems serving less than 10,000 people, including local government systems and tribal systems, as well as all other types of water systems, such as: homeowners associations, mobile home parks, resorts/campgrounds, schools, prisons, and more
• Decision-makers for water utilities, including mayors, finance officers, utility managers, public works directors, city councilors, board members, tribal council members, and clerks
• Consultants and technical assistance providers serving water systems
