Description: This two-part virtual workshop provides an in-depth introduction to the five elements of asset management planning and practical methods to establish a robust asset management program for your wastewater system. Participants will also explore strategies for developing and implementing capital improvement plans to enhance long-term system sustainability. Additionally, this workshop covers maintenance strategies and best practices to enhance sustainability and reliability. Please Note: This is a two-part training over the course of two days. In order to qualify for a certificate, you must attend both days:

Trainer: Daryl Gotham, Senior Research Engineer, Great Lakes Environmental Infrastructure Center CECs: This training has been approved for 0.3 Managerial Wastewater continuing education credits by the Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy.  Who Should Attend:
  • Managers, owners, and operators of wastewater systems with an average daily flow of less than 1 million gallons
  • Decision-makers for wastewater utilities, including mayors, finance officers, utility managers, public works directors, city councilors, board members, tribal council members, and clerks
  • Consultants and technical assistance providers serving wastewater systems
