Deciding where, how, and when to allocate resources is a struggle that many systems face every day. However, there are a variety of strategies that can be used to tackle this dilemma. Capital improvement planning is a valuable tool that we recommend using to plan and manage investments in infrastructure projects over a multi-year period. A Capital Improvement Plan allows systems to view each of their assets in one place, develop projects to address their assets, and prioritize the projects with the most critical needs. Please join the Environmental Finance Center Network and learn how to create your own Capital Improvement Plan!
