Mean Cell Residence Time (MCRT) is an important parameter used in wastewater operations to assess the condition of activated sludge processes. MCRT is a measurement of the amount of time cells spend in the activated sludge process and helps determine the treatment efficiency of the process. This video provides an overview of MCRT and walkthroughs of the type of MCRT problems operators may encounter for operator certification.
