SD Online Training | Water and Wastewater Board Management
Description: This training will address the legal, technical, and ethical requirements and responsibilities of public water and wastewater system board members. This includes municipalities, rural associations, and utility districts. Participants will explore the roles and authorities of responsible officials, fiduciary and ethical responsibilities, and the legal and regulatory framework governing public utilities. The session will also cover governance versus operations, budgeting and financial oversight, asset management, key areas of system operations, compliance and reporting, emergency preparedness, and more.

- General management and understanding of how to run a public water/wastewater system.
- Different areas of operation within a public water/wastewater system.
