OK Training | Wastewater Math and Disinfection
Location: City of Norman, OK and Norman Utilities; 2705 E Robinson St., Norman, OK 73071
Description: Wastewater math is essential to ensure wastewater plants and processes are running properly. Along with a strong understanding of proper process characteristics, understanding and being able to perform wastewater calculations allows operators to optimize and make proper adjustments to their wastewater processes. Wastewater math is also notable as it is one of the more challenging aspects of operator certification. The first part of this training is designed to provide strategies and practice for wastewater math most often found in operator certification exams. Operators and other wastewater workers will develop the skills they need to perform the required math portions of their certification tests, as well as in their everyday duties.
The second portion of this training will cover disinfection. Disinfection is essential to reduce pathogens in treated wastewater to protect public health and the environment. In this portion of the training, we will provide an overview of disinfection processes, operating different disinfection technologies, and basic disinfection calculations. Join us for a well-rounded training that any operator can benefit from.
