Description: This course will teach the basics of asset management for personnel involved in collection systems operations, maintenance and management oversight. The course will provide an overview of the five core components of utility asset management before going more in-depth on management and operational changes to maintain or improve level of service in collection systems at minimal life cycle costs.

By the end of this training, participants will be able to:

• Explain the core principles and components of asset management for wastewater collection systems
• Identify technologies and practices that maximize value while minimizing costs in collection system operations
• Apply strategies to maintain level of service while reducing risks to human health and the environment
