GA Training | Wastewater Math

Description: Wastewater math is essential to ensure wastewater plants and processes are running properly. Along with a strong understanding of proper process characteristics, understanding and being able to perform wastewater calculations allows operators to optimize and make proper adjustments to their wastewater processes. Wastewater math is also notable as it is one of the more challenging aspects of operator certification. This training is designed to provide strategies and practice for wastewater math most often found in operator certification exams. Operators and other wastewater workers will develop the skills they need to perform the required math portions of their certification tests, as well as in their everyday duties.
Training Objectives:
- Introduce common wastewater math concepts
- Practice utilizing wastewater certification formula sheets
- Provide walkthroughs to select wastewater math problems
- Practice understanding and utilizing strategies for solving word problems
- Provide wastewater math practice problems and provide guidance as needed
- Recommend further practice and study resources as needed
