IA Training | Nutrient Removal

Description: This course will cover nutrient removal operations in activated sludge and extended aeration wastewater treatment plants. Attendees will understand the most common purpose-built nutrient removal designs, environmental conditions for nitrogen and phosphorus removal, options for nutrient optimization at existing plants and leave with potential ideas for nutrient optimization at their own facilities.
This training will begin in the classroom (0.3 CEUs) and then in the afternoon move to the City of Atlantic Wastewater Treatment Facility (0.3 CEUs). The classroom training is also available to attend online as a livestream. The livestream will not be available at the wastewater treatment facility.

CEUs: This training is approved for 6 hours of Wastewater continuing education credits (0.6 CEUs total) by the Iowa DNR.
