Description: This workshop will help you more effectively engage your community and improve your water system’s overall public relations. Whether you want to promote water conservation, educate your community about its water quality, prepare to increase rates, or have other ambitions that require public support, this workshop will help. You will learn to develop communications that build trust and capture people’s attention so you can achieve your goals.
We will cover a number of skills, practices, and tools that will immediately up your PR game including, but not limited to: understanding your audience, storytelling, delivering more powerful presentations, applying multilevel communications, and developing a communications plan.
Learning Objectives:
- Participants will improve their system’s public relations goals by updating all levels of their communications.
- Participants will better understand their audiences to develop more effective communications.
- Participants will be able to develop a communications plan for their system.
