Description: Operation and Maintenance (O&M) plans are a vital part of all Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) operations. The O&M plan provides guidance for the operation and maintenance of the WWTP. A strong O&M plan will also ensure regulatory compliance and emergency preparedness. Developing a strong O&M manual alongside the O&M plan provides reference material to ensure plant personnel can meet the expectations of the O&M plan and successful succession occurs. An effective O&M manual should standardize maintenance and operations, guide operators to meet regulatory standards, provide training material, and establish reliable contact chains and emergency procedures. Join us to learn how to establish effective O&M plans, gain O&M manual development resources, and learn about the aspects of a successful O&M plan and manual.

In this workshop, our training objectives include:

  • Identify essential O&M plan components and develop best management practices.
  • Learn effective information gathering techniques and how to use checklists and logs.
  • Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and discuss communication hierarchies.
  • Understand the process for gathering plant and equipment diagrams and managing revisions.
