AM is a framework designed to help systems decide how, when, and where to spend their often-limited funds. The goal of this framework is to provide utilities with the tools to provide the desired level of service for their customers at the lowest cost. Training Objectives:
  • Learn about the 5 major components of AM
  • Teach utility personnel how to set goals for their AM plan
  • Provide training on the AM approach to assessing wastewater assets
  • Discuss how and what data is useful for AM planning
  • Discuss the different strategies for how to approach the repair, replacement, rehabilitation or reconfiguration of assets
  • Discuss AM approach to funding and resource allocation
Trainer: AJ Barney, Research Engineer, Southwest Environmental Finance Center CEUs: This training is approved for 0.5 Wastewater CEUs and 5.0 PDHs by the Florida Section of the American Water Works Association. Who Should Attend:
  • Managers, owners, and operators of wastewater systems with an average daily flow of less than 1 million gallons
  • Decision-makers for wastewater utilities, including mayors, finance officers, utility managers, public works directors, city councilors, board members, tribal council members, and clerks
  • Consultants and technical assistance providers serving wastewater systems
