Time: 9:00am – 12:00pm MT

Session 1:

Understanding and controlling non-revenue water is important to maximize system revenues, cut energy use and operating costs, improve water quality, address failing infrastructure, and mitigate impacts of limited water resources from drought or contamination. In this training, participants will gain a better understanding of the data needed to complete a water audit, how to input that data into the AWWA M36 Water Audit Software Version 6, what data grades are and how one would apply them to a water utility.

Session 2:

With limited revenues, aging infrastructure, and regulatory obligations to meet, a comprehensive approach to managing your system is vital.  What information will be useful to you?   How should you track your system assets and how does aging infrastructure impact your water loss control efforts? Asset management provides a framework to help you solve these problems, and more. In this training, participants will obtain a better understanding of the 5 core components of asset management, how it benefits water systems and its role in water loss control.
