This article reviews the findings and discusses how the cycle of high turnover can be broken to better retain operators. Much has been written about high turnover among water operators. The EFC decided to go directly to the source, asking more than 300 water operators at small systems in North Carolina about what would make them more satisfied with their current jobs.
