This workshop, for water systems that serve 10,000 or fewer people, focused on two crucial aspects of water system finance and management—addressing water loss and setting rates.  Participants were introduced to establishing an effective water loss control program at their water system, in particular how to begin to address non-revenue water including both apparent losses and real losses (leakage).  In addition, participants learned about how to set water rates that cover the full costs of the water system, including the depreciation of capital assets.  The workshop included a mix of presentations and hands on activities and is best suited for individuals who make financial and managerial decisions on behalf of the water system.

*This workshop was approved by the TN Department of Environment and Conservation for 6 CEUs/CECs
