Managing water losses is an approach water utilities can use to more efficiently and effectively provide water to their customers. Controlling water losses can increase utility revenues and decrease costs over time. It also has the added benefits of decreasing energy use, improving water quality, and mitigating the impacts of drought.

The first step in understanding the water loss situation at your utility is to perform a water audit. The water audit places the water you produce and the water you provide to your customers in categories to help you determine what concerns you are facing at your utility. This step is extremely important because having a poor understanding of the issues you face may cause you to spend money in the wrong place and prevent you from reducing the overall water loss. This workshop will show participants how to use the Free AWWA Water Audit software to gain an understanding of the situation you are facing.

Cost: FREE. Please register to reserve your spot.
