This workshop provided an overview of the five core components of Asset Management: current state of assets, level of service, critical assets, life cycle costing, and long-term funding strategy. There were also interactive exercises and a discussion on implementation.
This workshop assisted utility systems in defining the investment priorities for the level of service expected by their customers. Asset management provides the tools needed to actively and consistently analyze current operations and future needs to develop robust management systems and well-designed infrastructure plans to meet the increasing challenges.
