For public works directors, water utility managers, operators and maintenance staff, and finance staff
Have you wondered:
- How do I know if I’m spending the limited dollars I get for my operation and maintenance in the right place?
- How do I deal with my aging infrastructure?
- How can I make decisions about what maintenance tasks to do?
- How can I move away from always reacting to problems and instead act before problems occur?
Asset management is one way to address these questions. In the current climate of increasing regulations, decreasing revenues, and being expected to do more with less, an asset management approach
is vital. This workshop provided participants with tools to begin the process and understand the benefits.
This workshop was designed especially for water systems serving 1,000 or fewer people, especially targeting local government systems facing financial and managerial challenges. Systems serving between 1,000 and 10,000 people as well as owners of privately owned systems, consultants and technical assistance providers serving small water systems were also invited to attend.
